Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for setting up Appear, using commands, and getting help when something feels off.

Getting started

Appear is a multipurpose Discord bot built for moderation, music, social tools, roles, temporary voice channels, and server utilities in one place.

Use the Add to Discord button, choose your server, and approve the permissions Discord asks for. After that, Appear will be ready to use in your server.

Yes. Core features are free to use, including the tools most servers need for everyday setup, moderation, music, and voice channels.

Start with the Commands page, then configure the features your server actually needs. VoiceMaster, moderation, roles, and music are good first checks.

Setup & permissions

Appear needs the permissions required for the features you use, such as managing messages, roles, channels, moderation actions, embeds, and voice channels.

Check that Appear is online, has permission to view and send messages in the channel, and that its role is above the roles it needs to manage.

Some app-command features can work outside servers when authorized, but server tools like moderation, roles, and VoiceMaster require a server.

Discord role order matters. Move Appear's role above the role it needs to manage, then make sure it has Manage Roles enabled.

Most failures come from missing permissions, role hierarchy, or the target user having a higher role than Appear can manage.

Features

VoiceMaster lets members create temporary voice channels and gives them controls like lock, unlock, rename, limit, bitrate, claim, stream, and invite.

Yes. Appear includes music playback tools with queue controls and audio filters for servers that want a cleaner voice-channel music setup.

Fake permissions let you grant command access through Appear without giving users the real Discord permission on the server.

Yes. Appear includes platform lookup, feed, and notification-style tools depending on the command family you enable.

Yes. The Commands page lets you search by name, category, arguments, and required permissions so you do not have to guess usage.
